Got
my giab kit put together this weekend with the help of my neighbor.
It wasn't too difficult - although I definitely had a better time
of it with help!
:-) The giab
looks BIG sitting up on the raised bed. I plan to plant some cool
crops, lettuce, onions, chard, spinach under my giab in this raised
bed just as soon as I can get out there. I am doing winter seed
sowing this year (see the Garden Web forum) and plan to harden off
some of my seedlings in the giab.
I got a max./min.
thermometer to help me keep up with the fluctuations in temperatures.
So far, our zone 7 winter has been fairly mild.
I was pleased
with the construction of the giab and its sturdiness. Also, the
plastic cover seems thick enough for the purpose. I like the separate
bags for the stakes and the plastic cover. I bought some shade cloth
recently from Territorial Seed to use when the weather gets warmer
to help lengthen the lettuce production. All in all, I think you
have a very well made product.
Getting my greenhouse
in a bag) was a very positive experience - friendly advice and answers
to my questions over the phone, prompt confirmation of my order
by email, and speedy delivery of my kit.
I found your
web site easy to navigate and very informative. If I had the time,
money, and space I might be in the market in the future for a larger
greenhouse - but will have to wait for retirement for that! It was
helpful to look at the different types, sizes, and materials used
to see what might suit my property.

Greenhouse
in a bag
I had no trouble
with the web site, or the delivery of the two big pieces.
I didn't have any real problems with its construction. As it
went along I seemed to get better at reading!
I found the instructions for the door slides were not clear &
I had to re-assemble them twice. They work well now. I
also had some problems in assembling the panels in the doors. The
panels don't fit as tightly as the roof & sides do. I have
used the cement (like silastic) to secure them in their frames.
No problems
now.
All in all,
my wife is happy with it.
As a side
issue, we found that here in northern Alabama that the sun in summer
is so hot that plants would melt inside the greenhouse. I put
a tarp on the roof large enough to cover it & removed one of
the end panels & replaced it with a sheet of 1/8 inch plywood. I
put an exhaust fan in near the roof peak. It worked well throughout
the summer. This fall I added a heater & set it up with
a 2-output thermostat - one output to a heater, the
second to the exhaust fan. It works great.
But it all works
well because of a basically good greenhouse design.

to Mr. Stubbert's input we have added shadecloth to the Juliana

My ordering
went fine - there was a small glitch regarding having the "Order"
button on the page in question but this was addressed quickly via
an email to your staff.
Delivery had
a problem in that the shipper said I refused the item and sent it
back to the warehouse - I had never seen the item. A quick
email to your staff helped clear up the situation and we received
the item shortly after that.
Installation
has been somewhat difficult due to the directions having virtually
no descriptive text and measurements being all in metrics - really
a manufacturer issue more than anything else.

NOTE: We are
converting that darn metric problem with the instructions. (hey,
you can't say that we just post compliments instead of comments
can you?)
